How much is a membership?Gym membership prices vary and are dependent on different criteria. Give our friendly membership team a call on 09 421 9700 to find out the rate best for you or check them out here.

Do you have personal trainers? How much do they charge?Yes, personal trainers are an additional cost to your membership. Prices vary so it’s best to have a look and check them out here. Otherwise speak to our gym team as they can put you in touch with a personal trainer to suit you and your goals.

Do you charge extra for group fitness classes?There are no extra charges for any of our group fitness classes, all group fitness classes are included in your membership.

How do I book a group fitness classes?Some classes require booking due to limited numbers available for superior tuition and space availability, simply select the "Book Now" icon on the group fitness timetable and that will take you through the booking process.

What do I do if a class is fully booked?We have a waitlist option available, simply add yourself to the class waitlist and we will notify you if a space becomes available.

What do I do if I cannot make my class booking?If you are unable to make your booking please cancel your place in the class via your online dashboard as soon as possible via the Northern Arena Gym App.

Is access to the pool included in my membership?Yes, with a membership you have access to the pool during SwimFit sessions. See the group fitness timetable for SwimFit session times.

Can I come in and swim anytime I want?We have set members only swimming times. See the group fitness timetable for session times. During those times you can use the pools.

Can I pay less just to use the pools?Our fully comprehensive memberships include all gym access, group fitness classes and the use of the pools during SwimFit times.

Can I suspend my membership?Yes, you must give us at least 7 days' notice via this form . Memberships can be suspended for a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 8 weeks, per calendar year. If you suspend within minimum term. If you are within your minimum term these suspension days will be added to your minimum term date. Longer suspensions are available, fees apply.

What if I move within my minimum term?If you relocate more than 50 kilometres away from the facility, then we can cancel your membership within the minimum term period. Email our friendly gym team and they will be able to sort this for you gym@northernarena.co.nz

What if I get injured and can no longer use the facilities?If you become sick or injured where you cannot exercise for either 12 months or the rest of your minimum term, we can cancel your membership upon provision of a medical certificate. Email our friendly gym team and they will be able to sort this for you gym@northernarena.co.nz.

How old do you have to be to join the gym?You need to be 13 years of age or over to join the gym. For anyone under 18 a parent or guardian must sign the membership agreement.

How old do I have to be to qualify for a senior’s membership?You qualify for a seniors membership when you reach 65 years of age. Identification will be required when joining.

Are yoga mats provided in the yoga classes?For hygiene purposes we suggest you bring your own yoga mat or you can use a towel.

Do you have yoga blocks?Yes we have yoga blocks available to use.

Do you have a sauna and spa?Our facilities do not include a spa, sauna or steam room.

Do you run bootcamps?From time to time throughout the year, where we give nutrition guidelines, plans and bootcamps to kickstart your journey. Otherwise we recommend a personal trainers who can offer you some advice to get you started.

Where is Northern Arena?Northern Arena is located in Silverdale. We are at the top of the hill on the corner of The Hibiscus Coast Highway and Whangaparaoa Road next to the Silverdale Medical Centre. Our address is 8 Polarity Rise, Silverdale, Auckland.

Some key things to remember as stated in your gym membership agreement:4.1 Payment of membership fees: The payment of your membership fees depends on whether you have chosen to pay in one lump sum or by making regular payments. a. Regular payment option: You pay fees for the regular payment option for your Membership Term in advance each month by direct debit from a nominated bank account or credit card. If you choose to pay by credit card, we pass on any fees charged for the transaction by your credit card provider by deducting them from your credit card at the same time as your regular payment. If you choose the regular payment option, your membership will continue until you decide that you wish to cancel your membership after the Minimum Term or it is cancelled by us for one of the reasons set out in clause 5. In order to cancel their membership, as stated in the clause 8.5 of the membership agreement, the member must provide one month’s written notice to cancel. The month is taken from the date stated on the letter, the date the email was sent or on Northern Arena’s cancellation form. 8.4 Cancellation at any other time: To cancel your membership when the Minimum Term ends or at any time after that, you must give us one month’s notice in writing. You must pay any fees owed to us or we may take steps to recover them.
